Photography exhibition “VITA LENTA - Il quotidiano dei volontari ”: a look at the daily lives of European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers
In May 2025, Alban BESSON's photographs were on display at Villa Ficana as part of the Atterrati! Call for Art project. A French volunteer with the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), Alban chose to use his photographs to recount the daily lives of the ESC volunteers working there, of whom he is one. His project, entitled “Vita Lenta - Il quotidiano dei volontari” (The slow life - The daily life of volunteers), documents his volunteer experience at Villa Ficana, exploring the values of solidarity, tolerance, and human commitment that animate this community.
It is a unique opportunity to observe up close the beauty hidden in the daily gestures of those who choose to serve others, as well as to discover the terra cruda neighborhood and the stories of the people who live there.
